The Story

1942

The history of Marcafè began in 1942, from the idea of Mr. Silvestro Marcozzi, a man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for his work, who owned a wholesale food business in Teramo.

1955

To meet customer needs, he decided to install a coffee roasting machine in the shop; the idea was highly appreciated and recognized as a real success.

Over time, the roasting business progressed, and management passed to Silvestro's sons, Vittorio and Francesco. Francesco, in particular, accelerated its growth and moved the company to new headquarters in the Villa Pavone area.

1960

Thanks to the innate talent for art and the undeniable creativity of Giuliana Marcozzi, Francesco's daughter, the inspirational sketch for the Marcafè brand was conceived and created.

 

1980

Subsequently, at the end of the 1980s, the management of the company passed into the hands of Vittorio, who ensured a new balance and, to strengthen the presence throughout the territory, directed the attention and commitment towards bars and restaurants.

 

1998

In the late 1990s, the founder's grandsons, brothers Silvestro and Emilio, joined the company with a business vision based on innovation, sustainability, and internationalization. 

They moved their business to the prestigious Giulianova headquarters, a facility designed as a privileged location for developing these requirements.

2007

In addition to completely renovating their roasting and production machinery, they set themselves a challenging goal: to select the finest Arabica and Robusta coffees and create premium blends for export, spreading the culture and excellence of Italian espresso.

2010

That challenge became reality and, thanks to the research, expertise, and experience acquired over the years, today Marcafè is a well-known and appreciated brand in 25 countries around the world.

2012

To spread coffee culture and impart specific knowledge and skills, Coffee Academy was created, a program designed for coffee enthusiasts and professionals.

Thanks to the SCA certified international training program.

2024

Marcafè represents the history of a company that for eighty years has pursued a policy based on passion for work, product quality, and love for the territory in which it operates.

2025

The fourth generation joined the previous one with the entry of Vittorio and Martina Marcozzi.
Vittorio leads the marketing and communications revamp, while Martina, alongside her father Emilio, continues to develop foreign markets and exports. This generational transition brings energy and vision, while remaining true to the family roots.
