Brownies al caffè

Dear friends of Marcafè, the recipe we're sharing today is for coffee brownies, a reimagined version of these famous American treats, perfect for coffee lovers!

These are the ingredients we need:

  • 100 g of dark chocolate
  • 80 g of butter  
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 60 g of 00 flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of Marcafè coffee
  • 1 pinch of salt


Procedure:


First, preheat the oven to 180°C and prepare the coffee using a 2-cup moka pot.

Melt the chocolate, butter, and coffee in a bain-marie. In another bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar and a pinch of salt.

Sift the flour and baking powder and add them to the egg and sugar mixture along with the previously melted chocolate.

Mix until the mixture is smooth and lump-free.

Line a baking tray with baking paper and pour the mixture inside (to level it out well, we can tap the tray on the table a couple of times)

Bake at 180°C for about 20 minutes, remembering that the brownies must remain moist inside and a thin crust must form on top.

Once removed from the oven, let it cool, cut it into squares, and serve, perhaps dusted with powdered sugar and accompanied by a good Marcafè coffee... the perfect pairing!
