Marcafè has in-house an International Trainer authorized by Scae (Speciality Coffee Association of Europe) to issue worldwide certfications on the Scae and Coffee Diploma training program.
The objective of the meetings is to promote, through intensive training, a quality coffee culture, regardless of the preparation method applied.
Barista Skills was created for all those who wish to assimilate the skills needed to set up the coffee grinder, prepare espresso and properly steam milk to give the right consistency to the crema for cappuccino.
This module allows you to gain a deep understanding of coffee itself and acquire practical skills on the technique of whipping milk and pouring it to make Latte Art.
In addition, notions of health and food safety, service and fundamentals of business management.

The Barista Skills module consists of 3 levels:

  • Foundation:
    is designed for newbies and focuses on the skills needed to adjust the coffee grinder, prepare espresso and cappuccino accurately and professionally, so you can learn the right setting right away.
    No previous experience as a barista is required for this course;
  • Intermediate:
    provides a deeper understanding of coffee and deepens the practical skills learned in the Foundation level; Provides in-depth techniques of steaming and pouring milk, including Latte art.
    Occupational health and safety hazards, service, and basic management principles are explored.
    This course is suitable for experienced Baristas.
  • Professional:
    is an appropriate level for highly experienced baristas who have completed the Intermediate level.
    Provides both scientific and managerial insight into preparing coffee and espresso-based beverages.
