There are brands that are born cold, in the tables of an agency, the result of brainstorming, fads of the moment and passing trends.
And then there are brands that do not need to be invented, because they grow within a family, like a tale that is passed down.
Brands that breathe the same air of home, that taste like coffee roasted early in the morning, that cherish the intimacy of memories.
Ours belongs to the latter category.
1942 - The Vision of Sylvester
Once upon a time there was a distinguished man with a calm step and a faraway gaze. His name was Silvestro Marcozzi.
It was 1942, difficult years when coffee was a rare commodity, almost a luxury. But for him it was not just a drink: it was a dream.
Sylvester wanted the best coffee in the world and he wanted to bring it into people's daily lives. He was not just looking for beans: he was looking for an identity, a sign, a heart that would unite.
1960 - Giuliana and the sketchbook
Twenty years later, in that same family, another hand picked up Sylvester's invisible baton.
It was the hand of Giuliana Marcozzi, sensitive and creative niece. She had art in her blood and the ability to transform ideas into forms.
One evening he picked up a sheet of paper, held a pencil and sketched. Simple, delicate lines, born almost as a game. He could not have imagined that that gesture, born of instinct, would become the signature of a brand destined to travel through time.
1965 - From sheet to package
Five years later, that sketch became a reality.
It first appeared on Marcafè packaging, accompanying every package that left the roastery.
It wasn't just a logo: it was a family seal.
Every customer who saw him didn't just buy coffee: he took home a part of that story, a little bit of Silvestro, a little bit of Giuliana, a little bit of the passion that was within the walls of the roasting house.
1995 - The essence in the sign
The years passed, the world changed, design became essential.
It was time to give the brand a new look, without betraying its soul.
So, in 1995, the logo was restyled: more sober, more direct, reduced to its essence.
It was like knowing how to extract from a grain its purest part: nothing superfluous, only what really matters.
2023 - "Marcafè 1942": birth becomes part of the brand.
Eighty years after that first dream, Marcafè decides to make its connection to history visible to all, without the need for narratives.
The official brand name is enriched with an inscription: since 1942.
Today - A brand, a family, a promise
Looking at our brand, you will not see a simple design.
You will see Sylvester's decisive step in 1942.
You will see Giuliana's hand, with a pencil, tracing a dream.
You will see the work of those who, over the years, have made what really matters essential.
